Joshua Hartley
My name is Joshua Hartley. I am 22 years old and was born in Louisville Kentucky.
I started training in TaeKwonDo when I was 11 years old in Tuscaloosa, Alabama at Sr. Master
Bailey’s Academy. Mr. Jason Griffin was the Center Manager and Senior Instructor at that time.
Now I work full time as Center Manager of the East location in Tuscaloosa. Sr. Master Bailey
is my Instructor, and I have the privilege of training with him every week. Sr. Master Bailey
has had a tremendous influence on me as a martial arts student and as a person. He pushes me
and helps me strive to be the best I can be in everything I do. Other people who I have trained
with and have been a great influence to me in my TKD career are- Mr. Riggs, Mr. Holt, Mr. Greene,
Drew Leopard, and Marty Sellers. My parents Lee and Sharon Hartley have supported me in my
decision to make TKD a career. They have always been there for me in good times and have helped
me through the hard times. Without the love and support from my family I would not be where I am
today. My mother home schooled me all the way through High school. She had so much patience teaching
me for all those years. I got my GED and then, a couple years later, started working for Mr. Bailey
full time.
I love working out and training in Taekwondo. Some other things I enjoying doing are playing tennis,
watching movies, and fishing. Every morning I thank God for my salvation and for the opportunity he has
given me to help students and teach them the art of Taekwondo.
